Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, appointed this Thursday, in Luanda, Márcio de Jesus Lopes Daniel Minister of Tourism, previously dismissed from the position of Secretary of State for Local Authorities.
In other decrees, the Head of State appointed Filipe Silvino de Pina Zau to the position of Minister of Culture, while Maria da Piedade de Jesus is the Secretary of State in the same department.
The appointments are the result of an action by the Council of Ministers, which decided to segregate the areas that made up the then Ministry of Culture and Tourism, giving way to their separation, so that each of them corresponded to a separate ministerial department.
Thus, in the current Executive structure there are the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Tourism as separate entities.
