Africa-Press – Angola. The National Agency for Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Canadian company Reconnaissance Energy Africa Ltd. on Thursday to promote exploration activities and economic development of hydrocarbon resources in the Etosha-Okavango Basin. According to a press release, the agreement is part of ANPG’s strategy to boost inland sedimentary basins and attract qualified foreign investment to the national oil and gas sector.
Under the terms of the signed Memorandum of Understanding, ReconAfrica is granted exclusive rights for a period of 24 months, with an implementation plan divided into two phases, the first of which involves technical activities and data collection, and the second phase of in-depth analyses.
