Africa-Press – Angola. Angola lost, the bronze medal to Mali in the third and fourth place game of Afrobasket under-18, by 79-54.

The reaction of the national team was already late, having happened only in the last period, the only one in which Angola led by 23-14, and in the remaining periods the Malian team was always in front, by the partials of 13-21 in the first, 14 -26 in the second and 4-18 in the third.

On the Angolan side, Aloísio Andrade stood out with a double double 15 points and 10 rebounds and Aginaldo Neto with 17 points.

As for the third place, Abdramane Kanoute scored 17 points, Marwan Aliou Diallo scored 14 points, as did Amadou Doumbia and Mahamadou Diarra finished with 11 points.

With this result, Mali repeats the place obtained in 2016, in Kigali, in the same event, while Angola equals the 2018 performance in the country of bronze medalists.
