Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Filipe Zau, announced this Wednesday in Luanda that work is underway to conclude, in 2023, the process of awarding the Professional Artist’s Card.

The minister, who was speaking at the year-end greetings ceremony, referred that the document is a fundamental tool for guaranteeing the sustainability of art professionals in the most varied domains, giving security and dignity to those who dedicate themselves to this career.

According to the statutes of the Commission for the Artist’s Professional Card (CCPA) all artists, both national and foreign, can apply for the document to carry out their artistic activity, in one of two categories: professional card or semi-professional card.

Applicants for the Professional Artist Card who are not affiliated with an artistic association, or who do not have training, will be subject to an assessment and verification of their history.

On the other hand, following the Mincultur end-of-year greetings ceremony, the minister, Filipe Zau, defended that his portfolio should remain focused on permanently improving human capital.

The official referred that the overcoming of human capital will make emerge the necessary competences for the current and future moment of the country, without losing the good working practices.

Filipe Zau exhorted Mincultur professionals to aspire to the highest standards of assessment and international certification of the ministry’s actions and products, so that the country would gain international recognition.

To this end, according to the minister, professionals must have greater balance in their personalities, better acceptance of their responsibilities, for a greater predominance of reason.
