The Mining Indaba closes today in Cape Town, South Africa, in a climate of optimism on the part of the Angolan companies highlighted with a focus on attracting large investors to the diamond sector.For three days, the group led by the Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo, invited international businesspeople to present ambitious projects for the country which “still has another 100 years of mineral wealth to discover.

“Come to Angola and let’s associate your names with the country’s development. We will welcome you warmly and with open hands to establish mutually beneficial relations,” said Diamantino Azevedo in his speech on the second day of the event.

One of the highlights was the signing of a contract between Angola and N’Dumba, Ltd, a subsidiary of the Jean Boulle Group, for mining investment in the prospecting, exploration and marketing of diamonds.

The agreement establishes the creation of a joint venture, responsible for the exploration and mining of alluvial deposits within the limits of the concession.

The document, signed on the sidelines of the Mining Indaba, reinforces Angola’s commitment to attracting strategic investment to the mining sector, consolidating its position as one of the world’s main diamond producers.The contract signing ceremony took place in room 9 of the Cape Town International Convention Center, and was witnessed by the Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo, and the Angolan ambassador to the South African Republic, Rui Xavier.
