The national director of the Social Protection Fund of the Ministry of the Interior (MININT), sub-commissioner Sandra Marisa Ferreira, announced this Thursday in Ndalatando (Cuanza Norte), that the sector has a set of strategies in progress aimed at strengthening the legal mechanisms of social protection for the herd and their family members.

The official provided this information within the framework of a training action for MININT staff in the province, in terms of “Instruction of retirement pension processes”, having announced that measures are underway aimed at strict compliance with the regulations governing the control of staff. , as contributors or pensioners.

He clarified that the control of the staff as a taxpayer is the most appropriate measure for the protection of staff after going into retirement, as well as their family in the event of death or disability.

The two-day seminar is aimed at human resource staff from MININT bodies, namely the National Police, Emigration and Foreigners Services, Prison Services and Criminal Investigation Services, covering approaches on the functioning of the

Social Protection Fund, proof of life and retirement pension.

Among the subjects covered are also the juridical-legal system of social protection in Angola, civil and penal responsibility for the non-protection of beneficiaries and periodic evaluation of the social protection system.

The event, which was opened by the MININT provincial delegate, commissioner António da Costa Neto, should take place over two days, with the participation of staff working in the area of ​​Human Resources from the 10 municipalities of the province.

The MININT Social Protection Fund is a body in charge of managing the social protection system for staff under a special career regime, assigned to the bodies of the National Police, Emigration and Foreigners Services, Prison Services and Criminal Investigation Services, whose main objective is the payment of retirement pension, survivor’s pension and death subsidy to beneficiaries.

According to Presidential Decree number 65/14, of March 14, which regulates the functioning of the MININT Social Protection Fund, for the acquisition of the right to Retirement Pension, staff must make a regular contribution for 180 months (15 years) , provide 30 years of service or reach 55 years of age.
