Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas urged, yesterday, in Luanda, those responsible for public and private companies in the portfolio to focus on attracting young talents in the national market.

On the occasion, Diamantino Azevedo said it is crucial to identify young talents with technical capacity in various areas, with a view to increasing the effectiveness of services, productivity levels and ensuring the sustainability of business in the sector.

Minister Diamantino Azevedo spoke at the International Conference on Leadership, promoted by Sociedade Mineira de Catoca, aimed at managers of public and private companies in the sector.

In relation to managers, he continued, they must be able to distinguish between the strategic, tactical and operational levels in the management pyramid, so that each one fulfills their specific responsibilities in favor of a good basis for making political decisions.

Lectures

Internationally renowned experts were invited, who presented an overview of the most effective methods for dealing with current and future corporate management challenges. The speakers were University of São Paulo Professor Luiz Felipe Pondé and Brazilian consultant Idalberto Chiavenato.

Key topics were addressed around the impact of digital platforms on guaranteeing the sovereignty of States, psychiatric effects and the importance of developing strategic planning for companies to mitigate the negative effects of the constant changes taking place in the business world.

Luiz Felipe Pondé drew attention to the need for managers to learn how to better deal with digital platforms, which involves knowing how to filter reliable information and knowledge capable of adding value, taking into account the amount of misinformation that, often, in addition to generating moral damages, can affect the performance of companies and call into question the sovereignty of States.

Idalberto Chiavenato revealed that innovation is one of the main pillars for the success of organizations, with the lack of strategy being responsible for 80 percent of the failure to execute projects in companies, which is why he warns against a systemic, peripheral and anticipated vision in the face of possible future scenarios.
