Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of National Defence, Former Combatants and Veterans of the Fatherland, João Ernesto dos Santos “Liberdade”, participates, from the 18th to the 22nd of this month, in the 12th edition of “DefExpo”, the largest Defense Technology and Products Fair in India.
In a statement, that ministerial department says that the fair takes place in the city of Gandhinagar (Gujarat), under the motto “Path to Pride”.
The event aims to transform India into a strong and self-sufficient Nation by establishing partnerships for the Indian aerospace and defense equipment manufacturing sectors as well as global customers.
According to the note, the Angolan participation makes it possible to increase partnerships, aiming at technological and industrial development in the area of Defense, as well as the exchange of experience, the expansion of relationships with Governments, Armed Forces and their respective defense industries.
The exhibition also includes the 2nd edition of the India-Africa Defense Dialogue (IADD), with the presence of 53 African countries.
The Angolan delegation also includes the Secretary of State for Military Industry, General Afonso Carlos Neto, senior officials of the Ministry of National Defence, Former Combatants and Veterans of the Homeland and general officers of the Angolan Armed Forces.
