Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security, Teresa Dias, recommended the General Inspection of State Administration (IGAE) to monitor cases of legal replacement of employees in the respective categories, improper promotions and salaries, absence leave and mobility incorrect staff.
According to the minister, these actions, among other irregularities, must be combated by IGAE, as they cause losses, from an economic and financial point of view, and denote a lack of professional ethics on the part of public agents and employees.
When speaking at the 1st IGAE methodological meeting, held on Monday, in Luanda, the governor asked the inspectorate to combat, in a serious and responsible way, these evils, in order to dignify public administration.
Teresa Dias said she is aware that the work of IGAE technicians is not easy, expressing, however, that she is optimistic about the path to achieving excellence.
The governor recognized, however, the need for IGAE to be equipped with qualified staff who can keep up with the dynamics of technological advances.
Therefore, he said that we must increasingly look at the conditions for internal and international training.
Teresa Dias assured that efforts are being made to improve the working and living conditions of employees, in the matter relating to the remuneration regime, to be approved in the MAPTSS and IGAE Joint Executive Decree, and in the IGAE legal regime, to adjust the staff from various areas.
In turn, the inspector-general of the State Administration, Ângelo da Veiga Tavares, spoke about the inspection, inspection, audit, supervision, control, security and inquiry activities that aim to promote good governance, with increased efficiency and effectiveness of administrative activity of the State and the good management of human, financial and property resources.
“The exercise of the activity, the exchange of experience between different internal control bodies, from other countries, within the scope of international cooperation, as well as the strategy of improving day-to-day performance challenge us to hold the methodological meeting”, he highlighted about the meeting.
The forum is focused on discussing the legislation of processes and procedures that conduct the daily activity of the institution.
The first methodological meeting aims, among other objectives, to help ensure that, within the scope of training, IGAE staff understand the instruments that govern their respective actions and improve professional technical performance.
Under the motto “IGAE, more rigor, transparency and control”, the meeting brings together IGAE employees from all areas. M
