Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Economy and Planning, Mário Caetano de Sousa, recognized, this Monday, in Luanda, as important the opinion of the academic class for the joint construction of the long-term strategy, called “Angola 2050”.
Mário Caetano de Sousa made this statement during the consultation meeting with that fringe of society about the document, noting that this importance is given by the fact that the vast majority are young and represent 50 percent of the population.
He stressed that there was an interaction at the height he expected, as they showed resilience and “mental oxygen” for the paradigm shift in the education sector, within the scope of the implementation of this important planning instrument under construction.
He expressed the intention of continuing to work with youth, as they have contributions that serve to be incorporated into a model of coefficient of change.
He ended by adding that they intend to make national human capital the main driver of Angola’s economic and social development for the coming years.
The Government’s premises are to ensure a diversified and prosperous economy, modern and competitive infrastructure, a society that values and enhances human capital, a resilient and sustainable ecosystem and a fair nation with equal opportunities.
This consultation meeting is part of the process that is being carried out by the Ministry of Economy and Planning, in holding public consultation sessions, for the finalization of the process of Revision and Extension of the Long-Term Strategy (PLS) 2025 to 2050 (ELP – Angola 2050).
