Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, and his Togolese counterpart, Robert Dussey, held a working meeting in Lomé this Thursday. During the meeting, MIREX reveals, the diplomats reviewed issues related to the update on Angolan mediation in the conflict between Rwanda and the DRC, as well as taking stock of the implementation of the Roadmap for the Joint Summit of the Central African Community (CAO) and SADC held in Dar-es-Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania, on 8 February 2025.
The ministers also discussed recent developments in the east of the DRC, as well as detailed the achievements made by President João Lourenço as mediator of the process.
The opportunity also served for the two leaders to interact on the Luanda and Nairobi Processes, assess the issue of providing humanitarian assistance and joint efforts with the African Union, the United Nations and other international partners to cease hostilities and establish a definitive ceasefire.
