Africa-Press – Angola. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry will promote an event for the establishment of Public-Private Dialogue Platforms, between the 26th and 27th of October, from 8:30 am, at the Hotel Kalunda, in Sumbe, Kwanza Sul.
According to a press release sent Online, it can be read that the meeting takes place within the scope of the implementation of the Angola Commercial Agriculture Development Project (PDAC), financed by the Government of Angola, the World Bank and by the French Development Agency, addressed to the actors in the grain chain identified as priorities for the project.
The document also mentions that actors and interested parties of the project will be present, as well as representatives of public sector institutions linked to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Provincial Government, Research Institutes, Banks and other actors of the private sector with direct intervention in the priority value chains for the initiative.
The note also underlines that the creation of spaces for dialogue is seen as an action that can contribute to generating productive alliances and developing public-private and private-private projects, as well as creating a rapprochement with the actors, and building solutions through joint formulation of effective and innovative policies and actions.
This program includes debate and group work sessions, where topics such as: Promotion of Public-Private Dialogue for the Development of the Grain Value Chain (Beans, Maize and Soy) will be discussed; Production alliances as a strategy for the Development of the Grain Value Chain in the Southern Corridor; Productive alliances as a strategy for the Development of the Northern Corridor; Seeds, production methods, adapted technologies, productive alliances and financing aspects.
