Africa-Press – Angola. The Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas informed, this Tuesday (25), in a press release, that it became aware of a video on social networks, showing an illegal company carrying out mining activities, along the Angolan coast, in Namibe province.
The document states that this company is not licensed by that Ministerial Department, due to the fact that it did not comply with the procedures required by Law No. .
He also informed that, as soon as the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas became aware of this administrative transgression, it liaised with the Provincial Government of Namibe and requested the good offices of the government authorities in order to immediately suspend the activity carried out by the company.
The Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, adds the press release, will continue to monitor the matter with the necessary attention to safeguard the national interest.
