Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Youth and Sports, Rui Falcão, defended (Friday), in Luanda, the recovery and construction of infrastructures in educational establishments to serve school sports.

He announced a plan for the recovery of built spaces and the construction of other small ones, taking into account the objective of placing school sport as a true source of support for high-level competition.

Speaking during the First Informal Meeting with Sports Journalists, held at the Sports Gallery, with the aim of exchanging ideas, Rui Falcão advocates inter-class, school, municipal and provincial games to culminate with the National Championships.

The minister said that it is planned to build community sports centers containing a covered pavilion with two or three stands for families attending matches, as well as a football field and a swimming pool.

He added that the base of community sports practice will be expanded so quickly to improve the work of existing groups.

The holder of the department dealing with Youth and Sports issues was flanked by the Secretary of State for Sports, Teresa Ulundo, the National Director, Nicolau Daniel and the General Secretary, Cátia Teixeira.

This first meeting with the press was attended by at least 50 professionals from various media companies in the country.

It was stipulated that it should be organized every four months. The next one will be in September.
