Africa-Press – Angola. Five hundred and sixteen students are registered for the 2023 academic year, at the Caio Professional Training Centre, Cabinda’s seat, attached to the National Institute of Employment and Professional Training (INEFOP).
With 16 courses, highlighting information technology, industrial and building electricity, industrial maintenance and refrigeration mechanics, auto mechanics, welding, industrial and civil locksmithing, plumbing, industrial automation, carpentry, cutting and sewing, pastry, cooking, low-voltage electricity tension and agriculture.
At the opening ceremony, held on Wednesday at the Centro Profissional do Caio, the town with the same name, the vice-governor of Cabinda for the Technical Area, Agostinho da Silva, highlighted the importance of technical and professional training for young people, having underlined the Executive’s commitment to the continuing education of young people.
He also underlined that this bet aims to promote self-employment and entrepreneurs, having urged young people to adhere to the available opportunities in a serious and responsible way to combat unemployment and poverty within the family.
The academic year that begins with the motto, ́ ́Modern and Inclusive Professional Training, the Key to Development ́ ́, will feature for the first time, in addition to the courses already taught, the module, Budget and Measurements of Works.
The trainee, Francisco Vemba, in the thank you message on behalf of the collective, underlined the value of training and encouraged the other young people to conserve and make good use of the kits they benefited from.
In the year 2022, the National Institute of Employment and Professional Training (INEFOP) in Cabinda, through the eight technical and professional training centers and units in the four municipalities of the province, trained 1,993 citizens aged between 18 and 40 years of age. age.
During this period (2022), courses in IT, industrial and building electricity, mechanics, industrial maintenance of refrigeration, welding, locksmithing, cutting and sewing, pastry and cooking were administered.
For the director of INEFOP in Cabinda, Agostinho Simba, trainees have options with complementary participation of entrepreneurs and basic management of small businesses, guidance for enrollment in the Employability Promotion Program (PAPE) to receive support for the promotion of small initiatives.
The rehabilitation of the Professional Center of Caio, the largest in the province, requires the reinforcement of equipment and the continuous technical training of trainers.
