Africa-Press – Angola. More than 7,000 citizens from the municipality of Chipindo (456 kilometers east of the city of Lubango), Huíla province, have already updated their electoral data, informed the head of the Section of the Single Public Service Desk (BUAP).

Vicente Elias Sangola said that the registration includes citizens of voting age who live in the villages of the communes of Bambi, Bunjei sector, and in the commune of the municipality (Chipindo).

He said that Chipindo has two branches, one of which works at the municipal headquarters and the other in the commune of Bambi. In addition to the fixed posts, other mobile ones are in operation to meet the population covered and who live in more remote places, which allowed the registration of 7,257 citizens.

He appealed to all Angolans over 18 years of age, who have a voter card, to update the data in person at the existing posts, clarifying that the dynamics and participation of citizens are good, showing that he is confident that, until the last day of the process, the numbers will be even more satisfactory.

He recalled that the sensitization and mobilization process has the participation of churches, traditional authorities, civil society and other living forces.
