Africa-Press – Angola. Ninety-seven (97) fishermen, out of the 155 registered at the Municipal Secretariat for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries in the coastal municipality of Cacongo, have already received their licenses to carry out fishing activity in the district.

On the occasion, the official referred that the licensing of fishermen is an orientation of the Central Government in the context of the legalization of all operators in the fishing sector.

“We appeal to other fishermen who have not yet obtained a license to comply with the guidance, paying the amount of 7,104 kwanzas to avoid possible penalties”, he advised.

José Mavungo, one of the beneficiaries of the license and a fisherman for 25 years, stated that the fishing license is important and encouraged his other colleagues to follow suit.
