The vice-president of the MPLA, Luísa Damião, held a meeting this Thursday in Luanda with her counterpart from the MLSTP-PSD of São Tomé and Príncipe, Arlindo Semedo Barbosa, during which they addressed issues linked to strengthening the cooperation between the two political parties.
On the occasion, the leader of the São Tomé and Príncipe Liberation Movement – Social Democratic Party (MLSTP-PSD) invited the MPLA to participate in the congress of its political formation, to be held on March 16 of this year.
Speaking to the press at the end of the meeting, Arlindo Barbosa said that the MPLA and MLSTP share an ideological and political matrix, so affinity between them is always important, and defended the strengthening of existing cooperation ties.
According to the São Tomé politician, the strategies necessary for the success of the congress were discussed at the meeting.
