Africa-Press – Angola. The Political Bureau (PB) of the Central Committee of the MPLA congratulated President João Lourenço on Tuesday for his high sense of state and sharp diplomatic vision, which culminated in the honorable invitation extended to Pope Leo XIV.
According to a note, the MPLA also congratulated the Head of State for the remarkable success in organizing this historic visit to Angola.
It also states that this moment of undeniable international relevance constituted a milestone of great political, spiritual and institutional significance, projecting Angola as a country of dialogue, tolerance and promotion of the universal values of peace, solidarity and fraternity among peoples.
The Political Bureau recognizes, with high appreciation, that this visit also represents the strengthening of relations between the Angolan State and the Holy See.
With this, it adds, it consolidates bridges of cooperation that contribute to social stability, the deepening of national cohesion and the strengthening of Angola’s external image in the concert of nations.
To President João Lourenço, the Political Bureau of the MPLA expressed its pride and encouragement for him to continue leading, with determination and patriotic spirit, the destiny of the Angolan nation, elevating the country’s name with dignity and prestige beyond its borders.
