Africa-Press – Angola. The coordination of the MPLA electoral campaign met today to analyze the functioning of the intermediate level structures, having approved the set of actions to be carried out in the context of the challenges of this year’s election.
According to the final communiqué of the meeting chaired by João Lourenço, party leader, to which Jornal de Angola had access, the members of the electoral campaign coordination structure encouraged the Executive to maintain its commitment to promoting food production in the country, as policy based on activities oriented towards the manufacture of goods that satisfy the basic needs of the population.
The same document also highlights the commitment to continue promoting socio-economic development, focusing on improving the well-being and quality of life of families.
The meeting also served to inform those present about the process of updating the Official Electoral Register, extended to Angolan citizens residing abroad, and the appeal for massive participation of potential voters was reiterated, with a view to acquiring legitimacy for the exercise of the vote in the election of next August.
