MPLA deputies assess the execution of PIIM works in Uíge

Africa-Press – Angola. A group of deputies to the National Assembly attached to the MPLA started, this Tuesday, in the province of Uíge, carrying out visits to verify and evaluate the works of the Integrated Plan of Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM).

Uíge province has a portfolio of more than 80 PIIM projects, in the fields of Education, Health, road rehabilitation, water supply, four of which will be inaugurated in the next few days.

The seven deputies, four from the national constituency and three from Uíge province, will work in the 16 municipalities of the region, as part of the parliamentary group’s field trip in the country’s 164 municipalities.

In addition to the PIIM works, the MPLA parliamentarians will also evaluate the other works of social impact and of the General State Budget.

Speaking to the press, the spokesman for the delegation, Esteves Hilário, said that the visit of the deputies also aims to assess compliance with the electoral programs for the 2022 elections and for the Executive, approved under PRODESI and Kwenda.

Led by the coordinator of the Follow-up Group Secretariat for the province of Uíge, Emília Carlota Dias, the delegation ends its activities next Sunday (04).
