Africa-Press – Angola. MPLA president João Lourenço guided, on Monday morning, a meeting with senior party officials, the highlight of which was the way in which the bodies of the National Assembly will be organized.

Speaking to the press at the end of the meeting, held at the party’s headquarters, the secretary of the Political Bureau for Staff Policy, Ângela Bragança, made it known that, despite the work still to be carried out by the Constitutional Court, the MPLA did not stop to do homework.

“We have our agenda and we are working based on it”, he stressed, adding that the MPLA is not working with the agenda of third parties. “Our agenda tells us that we must do our homework, think about what the National Assembly will be like, at the level of the presidency of the commissions, and how to define our work strategies”, he highlighted.

Ângela Bragança said that the meeting was “very constructive”, having allowed, above all, to feel “the great” vitality of the party. “Regardless of everything that is said or thought, the MPLA remains strong”, assured the secretary of the Political Bureau for Staff Policy, for whom the MPLA understood the message of the sovereign people, “which once again gave the party , the victory to rule.

“The MPLA trusts the sovereign people”, he stressed. Ângela Bragança explained that yesterday’s meeting is part of a sequence of others that the party has been holding since the beginning of the electoral process and the preparation of the candidacy that led to this victory.

“This meeting aimed, above all, to put into perspective everything that comes as a result of our victory in these elections”, he stressed.

In a publication made, Sunday, on his Twitter account, President João Lourenço said that he was “serenely” waiting for the decision of the Constitutional Court, to follow the second part of the party of democracy – referring to the investiture ceremony and the acts that follow you. “Angolas, we are together”, he highlighted in the post.
