Africa-Press – Angola. The MPLA’s municipal constituent conferences in Cabinda province, which concluded on Saturday in the municipality of Tando-Zinze, resulted in the creation of six municipal committees and the election of seven new first secretaries.

The closing ceremony, led by the MPLA’s first provincial secretary, Suzana, served to adapt the party’s intermediate structures to the country’s new Administrative Police Division.

To this end, new municipal committees were formed in Ngoio, Liambu, Tando-Zinze, Massabi, Necuto and Miconje, which resulted in the election of new leaders, namely Maria da Graça Morais, Ernesto Barros André, Fátima Congo, Damião Panzo and Francisco Vanny Nduli.The process of adapting the structures and the party reappointed the first secretaries of Cacongo, Buco-Zau, Belize Armando Carmo Mbuiti Óscar Dilo and Natalício Passi Gomes, while in the municipality of Cabinda, the current municipal administrator replaced someone recently elected by force of the party statutes.

On the occasion, the first provincial secretary of the MPLA in Cabinda, Suzana de Abreu, asked for greater commitment from everyone in favor of the mobilisation of new militants to the ranks of the MPLA.

She said that Cabinda will always have the umbilical vehicle of the people who embraced the cause of the party from the very beginning.

She called for unity and cohesion within the party and for improvements in the level of organisation of the base and intermediate structures.

With the conclusion of the constituent municipal conferences, the MPLA in Cabinda now has a total of 10 municipal committees, namely,

Ngoio, Cabinda, Liambu, Tando-Zinze, Cacongo, Massabi, Buco-Zau, Belize, Necuto, Miconje.
