Africa-Press – Angola. The first secretary of the MPLA in Cuanza-Norte, João Diogo Gaspar, urged members to be rigorous and fair in carrying out the balance sheet and mandate renewal processes.

João Diogo Gaspar, who spoke, this Thursday, at the provincial act of launching the assemblies of balance and renewal of mandates, said that this action must be carried out with objectivity.

He advised that these processes prioritize merit, discipline and party ethics, along with the capacity for congregation, mobilization and compliance with statutory obligations.

For the first secretary, the renewal of mandates is an essential process that aims to “improve what is good and correct what is bad”, in addition to contributing to the deepening of the party’s internal democracy.

However, he informed that the MPLA in Cuanza-Norte will remain committed to mobilizing militants to reinforce their commitment to political work.

In this work, he indicated, the party will strictly observe superior guidelines and participate in initiatives that aim to attract new members and potential voters.

The mandate renewal assemblies will take place at the level of the party’s action, communal and municipal committees.

The event took place in the city of Ndalatando with the motto “Dynimizing party structures to improve the MPLA’s insertion in society”.
