MPLA in Uíge prioritizes construction of social infrastructures in 2024

Africa-Press – Angola. The first Secretary of the MPLA Provincial Committee in Uíge, José Carvalho da Rocha, highlighted this Wednesday, in the capital of the province, the construction of social and economic infrastructures, as local government priorities for 2024.

José Carvalho da Rocha, reiterated this commitment during the ceremony presenting New Year’s greetings to employees of the Party’s Provincial Committee.

He highlighted among the priority projects for this year, the electrification of the province’s 13 municipalities, construction of social housing for young people, completion of works on the Youth House, local Media Library, construction and rehabilitation of roads and bridges.

It also includes, among other actions, the improvement of conditions in the health and education sectors and the promotion of agriculture.

For this year, he said that the local government will work with commercial banks to improve credit granting services to economic agents.

On the other hand, the politician asked the activists to continue to strengthen the party’s base structures for the better, aiming to solve the population’s problems in the communities.

Therefore, he defended the need to improve communication and sharing of information between activists on the basis of permanent dialogue to define more agreeable strategies for the social well-being of the population.
