MPLA launches mandate renewal process in Luanda

Africa-Press – Angola. The MPLA launches, on Friday, the process of assemblies to renew the mandate of action committees and district and municipal review conferences, at the level of the province of Luanda.

A party note sent states that the provincial political launch event will take place, starting at 2 pm, in one of the cinemas in the country’s capital.

The official opening of this process, taking place in all provinces of the country, took place at the end of March, in the province of Bengo, in an event led by the party’s vice-president, Luísa Damião.

On the occasion, the person in charge highlighted the importance of the process, having considered that it has a strategic and profound significance, as it will serve to share the main actions and guidelines that will lead the party to overcome political-electoral challenges.

Likewise, it calls for the engagement of all members to strengthen the party’s internal life, reinforce democracy within it, accountability, and respond to the main challenges of the current context.
