Africa-Press – Angola. The vice-president of the MPLA, Luísa Damião, reiterated, this Saturday, in Luanda, the party’s commitment to the creation of policies to improve the living conditions of Angolans, as well as to fulfill their wishes and aspirations.
The leader, who was speaking at the ecumenical service, promoted by Movangola, referred that the Government is developing projects with a view to solving the problems that the country faces.
He recognized that the population still faces several problems, hence the need for everyone’s engagement.
“Each one of us is an active player in our community, so that we can solve the problems we still have”, he said.
He said that it is important to have a commitment to realize the anxieties and aspirations of the Angolans, for that, projects with a direct impact on the lives of the populations should be continued.
Luísa Damião stated that in the projects presented by the Government supported by the MPLA it is possible to perceive that there is a commitment to create more and more solutions to guarantee the harmonious development of the country.
As an example, he said that the Government intends to invest more in education and health, because only an educated and healthy people can give their best contribution to the development of the country.
On the other hand, he praised the role that the churches have been playing in evangelization and in areas such as education and health.
“Churches are in fact a true partner of the State in the field of education and health”, he said.
He reaffirmed the need for churches to continue to be partners with the State, because they take words to remote places, and “we have to continue together so that we can make Angola a country that we are proud of”.
