Africa-Press – Angola. The MPLA deputy, Ana Cordeiro Alves, said this Friday that her party will influence the local government, in the search for solutions to the various socio-economic problems of the population, in the municipality of Icolo e Bengo.

The parliamentarian, who led a delegation of the group of deputies assigned to the provincial cycle of Luanda, provided this information, at the end of a four-day working visit to Icolo e Bengo, during which they visited the five communes of the municipality.

During the verification, the deputies heard from the citizens, the various concerns, among which, the shortage of schools, health posts, poor condition of secondary and tertiary roads, drinking water and electricity.

According to the deputy, in the act of presenting the balance of the visit, all concerns registered will be forwarded to the Provincial Government of Luanda, to the administration of Icolo e Bengo to be resolved gradually.

Ana Cordeiro Alves recalled that many problems are part of the local administration’s programme, some of which are already being addressed, such as the construction of the market, in the centrality of Zango 8 thousand.

“We leave Icolo e Bengo with the feeling of having done our duty and we are sure that changes for the good of citizens will be on the way”, explained the deputy.

On the other hand, he acknowledged having found a municipality in progress, where immediate resolution concerns are met in time, as a result of the dynamics of municipal administration.

Over the four days, parliamentarians visited the works of the Integrated Program of Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM), five schools with seven and 12 classrooms, in the communes of Cabiri, Caculo Cahango, Cassoneca and urban districts of Catete and Bela Vista .

Likewise, they inspected the level of physical execution of the construction of 200 residences in the village of Caxicane, health centers in Mbanza Quitel, Caquenque, Calombola and Bom Jesus.

The delegation also visited the new market in the Centrality of Zango 8 thousand and held meetings with the party’s grassroots organizations (OMA and JMPLA).
