Africa-Press – Angola. The first provincial secretary of the MPLA in Lunda Sul, Daniel Neto, reaffirmed Tuesday, in Cacolo, the party’s commitment to actions aimed at improving the population’s quality of life.

Speaking at the closing act of the Patriotic Political Days, the official said that it is the objective of the MPLA to create conditions to improve, more and more, the social situation of the population, so that people can live with greater dignity.

Daniel Neto said that the party he leads, in Lunda Sul, will invest in all sectors that contribute to improving the quality of life of citizens.

Among these, he highlighted the focus on agriculture, with a view to reducing imports, producing national products that serve as a source of food for the population.

He added that some projects were already under way, such as the construction, in the headquarters of the four municipalities of Lunda Sul, of new large water supply systems, aiming to put an end to the problems that the populations are experiencing.

He also highlighted in the energy sector, in Saurimo, the implementation of the 26.6 megawatt photovoltaic project, which will help to improve its distribution in the city.

On the other hand, Daniel Neto said he felt satisfied with the work of the militants at the grassroots, however, he recognizes that the party after the elections is getting stronger, towards the development of the country.

He appealed to the militants, in the sense of dedicating themselves more and more in party activities, so that the MPLA in the province remains strong and cohesive.

During 30 days of journeys, which aimed to listen to the militants, the first secretary visited 200 villages throughout the province, and donated basic necessities.

The MPLA in Lunda Sul elected three deputies to the National Assembly.
