Africa-Press – Angola. The provincial secretary of the MPLA, Marcos Nhunga, urged Saturday, the intensification of the party’s work with the communities, with a view to assessing their needs and seeking solutions from the government.

Speaking at the opening of the IV Ordinary Meeting of the Provincial Committee of the MPLA, the politician pointed out the responsibilities that weigh on the party to improve the living conditions of citizens, for which reason he called for unity among the militants to materialize the governance program voted for in the general elections from 2022.

At the same time, he recalled that the party leadership and the militants in the province have the obligation to monitor the ongoing work aimed at improving the living conditions of families.

On the other hand, it encouraged criticism and self-criticism and respect for difference within the party, with a view to promoting frank dialogue and changing the work dynamics.

He made it known that within the party there should be no room for gossip, intrigue and other practices that only encourage internal division.

“Different opinions cannot divide militants. We have to talk more and be united for the implementation of actions aimed at solving the problems of the people”, he warned.

Lasting a few hours, the IV Ordinary Meeting of the Provincial Committee of the MPLA will analyze the internal life of the party and outline a strategy for action for the near future.

In addition to the members of the Provincial Committee, the deputy coordinator of the Follow-up Group of the Political Bureau to the Province of Malanje, Manuel Figueiredo, will participate in the meeting.
