Africa-Press – Angola. The first secretary of the MPLA in the municipality of Huambo, Gabriel Cassuia, said Friday, that it is essential that activists are exemplary in providing quality services to the public, to promote the well-being of the population.
The supporter, who was speaking at the VIII ordinary plenary session of the MPLA Municipal Committee, highlighted that activists who provide public services, including in the private sector, must contribute to improving citizen service procedures, respecting ethical and deontological principles.
The politician argued that activists, as public servants, must always strive for good actions that are credible in the eyes of the public, respecting the principles of the MPLA statutes that have always been on the side of the population, creating conditions of well-being at all levels.
He said it is essential to act with unlimited responsibility in the definition and selection of staff who can occupy management positions in the government apparatus, avoiding possible interference in the articulation of political power.
Gabriel Cassuia also recommended that activists clearly convey the party’s guidelines to the population, above all, the reasons behind the current situation of the national economy, which is negatively reflected in the Angolan social fabric.
He added that activists must opt for the positive reinvention of the social and economic dimension to find solutions in periods of successive global crises, in order to maintain the pace of development, as well as seek strategies to improve the population’s living conditions.
He hopes that activists will be the first to seek positive attitudes and credible examples, for socialization in communities, with a view to avoiding false interpretations of the current economic reality.
He recalled that the MPLA intends, with these appeals, to build sustainable political trust, to strengthen the party’s base structures and ranks in the municipality of Huambo.
The members analyzed the application of the General State Budget, the level of execution of party activities carried out in 2023 and the readjustment of the monitoring groups of the secretariat of the executive committee of the MPLA committee in the municipality of Huambo.
