Africa-Press – Angola. The President of Namibia, Ndemupelila Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, arrived in Luanda on Thursday afternoon for an official 48-hour visit at the invitation of the Head of State, João Lourenço. At the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, Ndemupelila Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah received a warm welcome from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, in a ceremony that included a guard of honour made up exclusively of women.The programme of President Ndemupelila Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah’s official visit includes a visit to the Dr. António Agostinho Neto Memorial, where she will lay a wreath and sign the Book of Honour in memory of the First President of the Republic of Angola and father of the Angolan nation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
The visit also includes a visit to the Presidential Palace in Cidade Alta, where she will be received with military honours and will meet with President João Lourenço.
Relations between Angola and Namibia, as independent states, were established after 18 September 1990.
