Referees Adriana Lupini Kissoka and Aurélio Pamba Chitunda were appointed by the Angolan Federation of Jiu-Jitsu and Associated Fights (FAJUJ and DA) to officiate at the VIII edition of the African Championship for adults, to be held from 23 to 26 March, at Arena do Kilamba, in Luanda, told yesterday, the president of FAJUJ and DA, Luís John.

The African will be played in fighting style (traditional jiu-jitsu), ne-waza (Brazilian duel), show (exhibitions made by teams) and duo (demonstrations by six clubs). Luís John announced that the delegations from Ethiopia and Congo are expected on March 19, in Luanda, but did not mention the number of members per delegation. He said that the National Team will be housed at the Casa da Juventude, in the municipality of Viana, and the rest can stay at the Hotel Lukweco and the Belas Tourist Complex, in Futungo II.

On March 27, at 9:00 am, the Electoral General Assembly of the African Jiu-Jitsu Confederation (JJAFU) will be held in Luanda.

On the same date and place, the governing body of the African sport will also meet for the election of the athletes’ commission.
