Africa-Press – Angola. On Monday, Nelson Cosme presented the letters accrediting him as ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Angola to the State of Israel to the President of Israel, Isaac Herzogao. During the solemn ceremony, held at the presidential residence Beit HaNassi, Nelson Cosme conveyed the greetings of President João Lourenço and reaffirmed Angola’s commitment to strengthening ties of friendship and cooperation with the State of Israel in the political, economic, technological and cultural fields.

In turn, the Israeli President welcomed the Angolan diplomat and expressed his desire to deepen bilateral relations between the two countries, highlighting areas of common interest such as innovation, agriculture, energy and security.Isaac Herzogao assured the interest in deepening economic relations, having stated that Angola is a key country in the context of improving Israel’s technical and scientific cooperation with Africa.

Angola and Israel have had diplomatic relations since 1993. The diversification of the economy and the attraction of investments for the sectors of Agriculture, Tourism and Information Technology, areas in which Israel has strengths, have marked the cooperation between the two States.
