Africa-Press – Angola. Ambassador Nelson Cosme participated on Thursday in a business meeting, aimed at awarding the highest award for excellence in engineering exports in Egypt, the first of its kind, at the invitation of the Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry, Nevin Gameh, and the Sheriff El Sayad, president of the Arab Republic of Egypt Engineering Export Council.

According to the press release, the invitation made shows the interest of the Government and Egyptian companies to expand the export of their goods and services to the Angolan market.

On the occasion, Ambassador Nelson Cosme maintained bilateral contacts with different entities linked to the various engineering and Egyptian trade, to which he conveyed ideas on the possibilities of investing in Angola, within the scope of the proclaimed policy of economic diplomacy of the Angolan Executive.

Held at the Abdeen Palace, in Cairo, the event brought together representatives from different exporting companies from Egypt that competed for the award of excellence, due to their performance in the export of industrial and commercial products to different countries in Africa and the Middle East.

Among the awardees of the night, emphasis goes to “Elsewedy Electric”, an Egyptian multinational, based in Cairo (founded in 1938), specialized in the manufacture and export of cables and systems, which has worked with African countries, including Angola, which was represented by Vice President Ashraf Ahmed.
