Africa-Press – Angola. The public road transport network in the province of Cabinda was, on Monday, reinforced, with another 20 new buses, with 62 seats each, to facilitate urban and inter-municipal mobility of citizens.
The means were made available by the Ministry of Transport, which now totals 50 new buses, received as part of the program to reinforce these means.
The act of formal delivery of the aforementioned buses was witnessed by the Secretary of State for the Civil, Maritime and Port Aviation Sectors, Carlos Borges, who on the occasion said that the new buses delivered to the province are part of an Executive strategy aimed at the creation of conditions with a view to promoting urban public transport, to facilitate the mobility situation of the population.
“The geographical discontinuity of Cabinda has been a great challenge, but through these initiatives that complement each other, we are finding solutions to minimize the mobility problems of citizens in the province”, he said.
Carlos Borges guaranteed that the Government will continue to establish partnerships with private companies in the Transport sector and provide institutional support so that, together, we can solve the main mobility problems of the population.
