Africa-Press – Angola. The new commander of the Northern Military Region, lieutenant general António José Neto, was presented, this Tuesday, to the personnel of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) in the city of Uíge, in an event led by the 2nd commander of the Army, João da Fonseca.
During his intervention, the 2nd Army commander called for greater collaboration from the troops, with a view to achieving the objectives set.
The assistant commander for Patriotic Education of the region, Brigadier Carlos António André, was also presented, and the ceremony was witnessed by general officers, superiors, captains, subalterns, sergeants, enlisted men and civil workers.
The new commander replaces Lieutenant General Dinis Lucama, recently appointed by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, to the position of Chief of Staff of the Army.
