New commander of the RMC wants improvements in the social conditions of the military

Africa-Press – Angola. The new commander of the Central Military Region (RMC), Lieutenant-General Paulo Silva Xavier, in the city of Cuito, Bié province, the need to improve the social conditions of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) personnel.

The military official was speaking at the graduation ceremony with the troops of the 4th Infantry Division, which served as his presentation as the new commander of the RMC, which encompasses the provinces of Bié, Benguela, Cuanza Sul and Huambo.

Paulo Silva Xavier stressed that he will work hard with the FAA’s superior command, in order to improve the conditions of habitability and quartering of the troops.

Its agenda also includes reinforcing the control of personnel and combat preparation, with a view to being prepared for any missions that may arise in the future.

He also highlighted the strengthening of operational actions to combat the illicit exploitation of minerals, in order to prevent illegal exploitation.

During his stay of a few hours, the new commander was received by the vice-governor of Bié for the political, social and economic area, Alcida Camatele Sandumbo, on behalf of the local governor, Pereira Alfredo.
