The Secretary of State for Urban Planning and Housing, Adérito Mohamed, assured, Friday (21), in Huambo, that the commercialization of the three thousand dwellings of the Halavala Central, located in the municipality of Bailundo, Huambo province, begins next month from November.
Adérito Mohamed added that, during a meeting with members of the Provincial Government, it was reported that the list of the first candidates for housing in the Halavala Centrality will be handed over, on Monday, to the entity managing the commercialization process.
He added that of the 3,000 houses built by the Kora-Angola Group, 600 will be available to youth.
“Priority will be civil servants, youth, former combatants and veterans of the homeland, as well as people with disabilities,” said the Secretary of State for Urban Planning and Housing.
Social Equipment
Halavala Centrality has several social facilities, such as kindergartens, children’s centers, health clinic, secondary school, Polytechnic Institute and police station.
It also has a Water Treatment Station (ETA), Wastewater Treatment Station (ETAR), Electric Substation, sports courts and shops to boost commercial activity.
According to the administrator of Bailundo, Irineu Sacahala, the works of the Halavala Centrality created, directly and indirectly, three to four thousand jobs, mostly for young people residing in the district.
The centrality of Bailundo has T3 type dwellings. The payment system will be by resolvable rent or direct sales.
