Africa-Press – Angola. he commissioner of the Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Akamo Hakeem Olabode, praised, this Monday, in Luanda, the services of the parliamentary administration and the Angolan democratic process.

The deputy, who heads a delegation from the Nigeria Assembly Services Commission working in Luanda, within the framework of strengthening and promoting bilateral cooperation, emphasized that democracy in Angola is strong and its parliament is growing considerably.

The commissioner, who held a working meeting with the president of the AN Board of Directors, Susana de Melo, highlighted the need for sharing and exchanging experiences between legislative bodies in areas of common interest.

He informed that the Nigerian delegation’s choice to visit the headquarters of the National Assembly of Angola was selective “because we believe that democracy here is strong and parliamentary is growing”

He made it known that his visit to Angola

aims to strengthen parliamentary relations between the two countries and discuss topics of mutual interest, such as bilateral cooperation in the field of parliamentary administration.

In addition to exchanging experiences, the visit includes a series of lectures, to be given by different areas of the National Assembly of Angola.

Political and diplomatic relations between Angola and Nigeria date back to 1975.

The two countries maintain bilateral cooperative relations, especially in the Political-Diplomatic, Defense and Security, Oil, Education, Culture and Transport domains.
