Africa-Press – Angola. The writer Pepetela starts this Monday to be honored in the province of Benguela, by the Escritaria event, a literary festival originally organized in the Portuguese city of Penafiel, which debuts in Angola.
According to the Chamber of Penafiel, the organizing entity, the event will be open for 15 days at the facilities of the Piaget Institute, in Benguela, but will later travel to other cities in the country.
Lubango, Ondjiva and Luanda are the next destinations for the Pepetela Tribute Office, on dates to be announced.
Over the course of two weeks, as happened in Penafiel in 2018, Pepetela will this time be honored with various activities, on the Piaget Institute campus, with free admission.
This event will include an exhibition composed of materials similar to those that usually mark the Escritaria festival, in the Portuguese city, says Lusa.
