Africa-Press – Angola. On Wednesday, the Consul General of Angola in Ponta Negra, Samuel Andrade da Cunha, in Ponta Negra, Republic of Congo, launched the Update of the Official Electoral Register.
The ceremony was attended by members of the board of the Associations of Angolans Residents in Ponta Negra and Kouilou, as well as representatives of Angolan civil society living in that African country.
On the occasion, the Consul General of Angola praised the decision of the authorities to allow the unofficial electoral registration abroad, one of the most important stages of the preparation of the general elections scheduled for this year.
During the ceremony, Samuel Cunha appealed to all resident Angolan citizens to adhere to their civic and democratic rights, as well as asked for the collaboration of the leaders of the different associations to exercise their power to mobilize for this cause.
