Oil company Dinge Sondagens inaugurates well drilling rig

Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan oil company Dinge Sondagens launched Friday, in Cabinda, in the crude oil exploration market, a modern onshore well drilling rig at country level.

The HH220 probe is available, after its inauguration today, to drill wells onshore (onshore) across the country, for oil and gas operators, being an investment initiative by Dinge Sondagens, with the aim of optimizing costs and accelerating drilling deadlines.

At the inaugural event, which took place in the S.Vicente area, in Cabinda, the Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo, highlighted the importance of Angolan investment in the complex branch of the oil industry.

The government official valued the Dinge Sondagens initiative, which demonstrates the existence of courage, determination and a spirit of dedication among Angolan engineers in the field, capable of investing, with their capital, in various contents, especially in the oil sector.

This, he pointed out, demonstrates that the private sector in Angola has capabilities and skills for investments of this kind, contributing to the country’s development.

The oil company Dinge Sondagens invested around 6 million US dollars, with its own capital, to acquire the HH220 Rig, manufactured by Drillmec s.p.a based in Italy, available to operators of onshore oil blocks.

With 21 oil blocks on land in the country, the HH220 Rig is expected to drill 23 wells over the next 4 years, in response to growing demand in the sector.

The HH220 Rig allowed the direct entry of 22 Angolan technicians, specialized in the oil industry.

Benefits

One of the advantages offered by Dinge Sondagens is the ability to efficiently move the HH220 probe across the country, where the transportation and assembly process from Cabinda to Soyo (Zaire) takes just 15 days, which contributes to operational agility.

Therefore, onshore block operators highlight the almost total impossibility of mobilizing rigs to drill just one or two wells nowadays.

On the contrary, with the presence of Sonda HH220 in the country, there is the opportunity to optimize costs, since services can be paid in national currency, the kwanza, providing greater financial flexibility to operators.
