Africa-Press – Angola. The secretary general of the African Petroleum Producers Organization (APPO), Omar Farouk Ibrahim, was reappointed this Friday in Luanda for a three-year term.
According to a note sent by the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, on the same occasion, and in alphabetical order, Benin was elected to succeed Angola in the APPO presidency over the next year, with -presidency in charge of Cameroon.
The 44th Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Organization of African Petroleum Producers will take place in the first half of 2023, in the Republic of Benin, on a date to be communicated by the organizing country.
