Africa-Press – Angola. One thousand homes will be built, in one year, by the “Onzo Yami – My house, my home” project, to benefit members of the Tax Workers Pension and Retirement Fund (CPATT).

To implement this project, the Social Security and Retirement Fund for Tax Workers (CPATT), part of AGT, and the Grupo Ribeirinho Onzo Yami initialed on Friday, in the municipality of Cacuaco, in Luanda, a partnership agreement in the field of housing.

The protocol, signed by the presidents of the boards of directors of the “ONZO YAMI” Project and CPATT, respectively Hernani Ribeiro and Euridice Cristina Alves, aims to reinforce the commitment between the parties.

The signing ceremony was attended by the national director of Land Management and Housing, Amílcar Lutucuta, the director of the National Housing Institute, Silva Neto, AGT employees, among other individuals.

Launched on August 12, 2023, the Onzo Yami project is located in the urban district of Sequele, municipality of Cacuaco, where it plans to build a total of five thousand medium-income T3 homes, with infrastructure and social equipment, in a total area of 300 hectares.

According to the Executive Director of Grupo Ribeirinho, Nilton Ribeiro, the first phase of the project created two thousand direct jobs and two thousand and 500 indirect jobs.

This project comes as part of encouraging private investment in Angola, with a partnership between an Angolan and a Chinese woman, whose mission is to build more than 60 thousand houses in the country.
