Africa-Press – Angola. Operational and combative preparation, as well as patriotic education and the adequacy of the processes of organization and articulation of military discipline have allowed the consolidation of the restructuring and resizing of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA).
This observation was made by the Minister of State and Head of the Military House of the President of the Republic, Francisco Furtado, when he spoke this Tuesday, in Luanda, at the opening of the Meeting of Military Heads of the FAA.
On the occasion, the government official made it known that the FAA represents an unquestionable pillar for the preservation of social stability, the defense of sovereignty, territorial integrity and national cohesion.
He explained that the Ministry and the General Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces intend to modernize their technological equipment and weapons systems, as part of plans for 2024.
In this particular, he highlighted that one of the main challenges is the adequacy of the basic laws of organization and internal functioning and the design of a five-year military programming law, based on the country’s current structuring and macro economic framework.
He highlighted the consolidation of the organic structures of the EMG bodies, branches of the FAA, Air and Maritime Military Regions, units, bodies and military education establishments and the adequacy of the country’s force system and military device.
The Minister of State and Head of the Military House of the President of the Republic also addressed the creation of adequate conditions for the installation and accommodation of military personnel and the improvement of logistical, technical-material and medical and pharmaceutical assistance systems.
