Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan national football team (Palancas Negras) coach Patrice Beaumelle has called up 30 players for the friendly match on the 14th against Argentina at 11 de Novembro stadium in Luanda.
The coach said Thursday at a press conference that the group is made up of four goalkeepers, eight defenders, eight midfielders and ten forwards.
Patrice Beaumelle added that it is a match where there is nothing to lose, but that has everything to demonstrate as preparation for the African Cup of Nations (CAN’2025), to be played from December 21 to January 18, 2026, in the Kingdom of Morocco.
He mentioned it as a very important game because they will face the reigning world champions, in a match broadcast by several television networks around the world.
The coach said he is shaping a team that works with a spirit of collaboration and unity, where no individual can be above the national team.
Regarding the sporting level, he acknowledged greater work in maintaining possession of the ball.
According to the coach, what was seen during this FIFA date was very good in collective terms, from the atmosphere to the dynamics, both on and off the field, as it is fundamental to preserve these aspects and continue to progress.
Regarding the injured players from the last FIFA date, namely Gelson Dala, Manuel Benson and Zine Salvador, he clarified his desire to keep these athletes for their improvement and give them another opportunity to observe them, including the other members of the squad.
The players will arrive in the country from the 10th, and the preparation training will take place at the Estádio 22 de Junho, in order to preserve the venue for the game in its best condition for both teams.
The match is part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of National Independence, to be celebrated on the 11th.
