Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Board of Directors of the National Assembly, Suzana de Melo, on Thursday, in Caxito, Bengo province, considered the actions carried out by the Provincial Support Offices for Deputies to be positive.
Taking stock of the six-day working visit to the provinces of Cuanza Norte, Malanje, Uige and Bengo, to assess the functioning of the provincial support offices and the state of the assets, the official referred that, regardless of the conditions, the groups of resident deputies have been functioning and there is a good relationship between them and the provincial governments and municipal administrations.
In the field of investments, he said, there are some difficulties, above all the need to build new parliamentary buildings to better accommodate the deputies, as in the province of Bengo.
To achieve this objective, he said adjustments were needed to find the best solution and also a structure that identifies the provincial offices in order to be framed in the 2024 budget, taking into account the financial situation of the country.
As for the other provinces, taking into account the time of existence of the properties, the facilities need maintenance and other working conditions.
In Caxito, the Board of Directors of the National Assembly held meetings with the Deputy Governor for the Political, Social and Economic sector, JoseĢ Bartolomeu Pedro, the resident parliamentarians and employees of the support office for the deputies.
