Africa-Press – Angola. The first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Miguel Díaz-Canel, received this Wednesday, in Havana, the secretary of the MPLA’s Political Bureau for International Relations, Manuel Augusto.

On that occasion, Manuel Augusto condemned the blockade imposed by the United States on the island, which serves to increasingly harden the lives of the Cuban people.

In the meeting with the president of Cuba, the importance of the PCC and the MPLA of continuing to work together to deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two governments and peoples was highlighted.

Manuel Augusto carries out a seven-day work schedule in the Republic of Cuba at the head of a delegation from his party, which includes, among others, Alexandre Moreira Bastos, former combatant and member of the Angola-Cuba Friendship Association.

The Angolan delegation also met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Parrilla, with whom he valued the high level of historical and fraternal ties.

The Angolan politician also held meetings with the PCC Organization Secretary, Roberto Morales, who recalled the visits of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, to Angola.
