Africa-Press – Angola. The Municipal Administration of Cazengo (headquarters of the province of Cuanza Norte) is carrying out earthworks in the peripheral neighborhoods of the city of Ndalatando, the provincial capital, in order to provide better mobility conditions for citizens.

The works, which take place this Saturday, include the realignment of drainage ditches, filling holes, as well as the installation, in a second phase, of public lighting poles.

According to the Deputy Municipal Administrator of Cazengo for the Technical Area and Infrastructure, José Lino, in Vieta, the two-kilometre project will cover the main sections of the neighbourhood.

The initiative, which has already included Carreira de Tiros and 28 de Agosto, according to José Lino, will also cover other peripheral neighborhoods of the city, such as Comarca and Azul.

The Administration of Cazengo also carried out earthworks on access roads to agricultural production areas in the areas of Camoma, Zavula, Balamba and Catari.

However, historian Chiquito Domingos hopes that the work will be done with the necessary quality to avoid unnecessary expenses.

With reference to previous actions, which had little durability, he urged the authorities to use better quality soils, so that citizens really feel the benefits of this intervention.
